(CMSC) 1…2…3…, Here We Go!

Challenges are what make life interesting. Overcoming them is what makes them meaningful.

– Some motivation quote about “challenges”

My first blog for a computer science subject. Weird. I wasn’t expecting this, assuming that we would do more of coding and learning and applying, all those fun stuff. However, I did got into an online course which is related to this one and the lecturer emphasized of two things at the start: have good notes, and give back to the community. I was even shocked why there was no “have a passion for learning” kind of advice. So, when I got this instruction to write a blog from our instructor in this course, I thought back at that online class and appreciated it more. It’s also a good thing that I got this blog website set up already from our Communications class last semester.

I have mixed feelings in this course. I’m excited for I’m going to expand my horizon in the world of computer science, but the same time, nervous because I that this road will be without its challenges. This course is a prerequisite to 4 (or 5) other courses. I expect a lot of difficulty in this course. The feeling would be like when I was starting to know how to code. Having not finished last semester and not doing code for the previous n-months in quarantine, I am going to have to review about my coding skills, assess them and practice even more. Knowing that, this is going to be a bumpy ride. Still, I won’t let that nervousness get in the way from me learning and progressing towards my goal.
